The world is a dark place, governed by evil; and Christ is the Light of the world (John 8:12), illuminating goodness everywhere.
A true Christian is meant to be a light to the world. A beacon of hope, truth and salvation. And how we behave carries more weight than what we say – giving the phrase “actions speak louder than words”, life.
It’s imperative that we act in the consciousness of God and man watching our actions. And a good mental check to caution ourselves with is the question – “What Would Jesus Do?” Its application at every checkpoint (challenges, temptations …) of our lives, would automatically lead us to righteousness. And this is so because the Holy Spirit has been automatically given permission to take over the driving seat in our lives, rather than being the passenger which He has been relegated to.
That’s why Christ said:
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
Why not involve God in the littlest part of your life, honouring Him in every way you can; such that, your mere presence, countenance, behaviour would usher more souls to Heaven.
Thanks for reading through and God bless you.
