He Loves Me Best (A Poem)

He loves me

He loves me more

I went off on my own

Like a lamb separated from the herd

Exploring a land ruled by wolves

Governed by greed

With laws of lust

Darkness creeps everywhere

I miss Your warm embrace

Guiding me to the stream

Shielding me from predators

Foxes, wolves, hounds

All prowling around

Howling into the night

Eyes glowing in darkness

Devouring strays and lost

I hope I can find my way back

Cause your beacon is everlasting

You will give up your life

Even if it means I should live

I feel ashamed

I feel invaluable

I feel loved

Now I know

You love me best
