What if God decided to take a break concerning you. He looks across the 24 elders, bowing down before Him, and says “You know what, let’s see what happens when I stop protecting him (perhaps, you) tomorrow. Let’s see how he would fare.”
Of course, the elders all agree, so do the 4 beasts, and the angels; and Jesus, being one with God, is also in agreement. Thus, the Holy Spirit, vacates the premises for 24 hours; and El diablo tells his demons, with a mischievous grin (maybe, he’s rubbing his evil palms together), “let the games begin!”
Now, your life has become a spectator sport for Heaven, where They are merely observers, and Satan is playing against little lonely you!
Perhaps, he makes you ‘noseless’ for 24 hours, Voldermort style, for his amusement; or it’s your worst nightmare becoming a reality, and rather than there being a light at the end of the tunnel, it feels like you’re falling into a big black bottomless hole.
This post was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend, who displayed shock when I told him of a 12 hour praise service at my local parish. His response was – “12 hours is too much time!”
Do we praise God enough? Do we give Him credit enough? Or do we say hello every Sunday, when we’re in church.
This is a new year, we made lots and lots of mistakes in the past one (2014), and we sort of got away with them, cause you’re still alive! And – “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)
Hell is real, and the devil, a skilled tactician, is looking for the slightest means to derail you. In the game of eternity, there’s no middle ground. Do not gamble with your soul this year.
Let your resolution be one that involves being on with God, and not just receiving from Him. If your relationship with Him needs rekindling, then do so. If you already have a relationship with Him, why not further it.
The levels man can attain in his relationship with The Creator is limitless. All you need to do is give Him your life, and ask. “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son“. God’s weirdness makes Him unquantifiable, thus, you can never get enough of Him.
He wants you in His fold, and now is the best time to begin.
Let’s make 2015 count for Jesus.
Happy New Year!
God bless you.
